PRN - Invasive Radiologic Technologist

Position Summary:

The Invasive Radiologic Technologist utilizes the knowledge bases of radiology education and experience in order to deliver care according to the hospitals policies, procedures, and protocols. The IRT works with the RN to respond to life-threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions. The works with the RN to organize patient care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering and evaluating on an ongoing basis.

Minimum Qualifications:

Certification as a radiologic technologist from American Registry of Radiology Technologists (A.R.R.T.) within six months of hire.Current Oregon state license as Licensed Radiologic Technologist.Obtain BLS certification upon hire and maintain as current.Obtain ACLS certification within 6 months of hire and maintain as current.

Essential Job Functions:

Produce radiological results.Provide optimal patient care. Promotes and maintains patient safety.Monitors, and compiles patient status information.Assists physician during Cath Lab procedures.Assists the function of the Cath Lab team with accurate set up and working knowledge of sterile techniques.Fosters teamwork by ability to perform variety of tasks within the department.Must be available to take call at variable times.
