PRJ -API Inspector

The API Inspector is responsible for performing visual examinations on fixed equipment, process piping, and tanks in accordance with the API and ASME standards, provide client with technical recommendations for the repair, re-rate, replacement, and/or alteration of facility assets.

What You Will Do:

Inspectors must have the ability to follow and draw isometric drawings, read P&IDs, and the ability to circuitize the facilities piping. Performs internal and external inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain the mechanical integrity of fixed equipment. Prepare technically accurate reports documenting the assets’ condition and data in a clear and timely manner. Perform QC on welding and/or mechanical work performed by Maintenance Technicians. Provide technical input as required for welding and metallurgical issues. Provide technical guidance on application of non-destructive examination techniques and procedures Lead and manage projects related to inspections, maintenance, and repairs. Ensure compliance with industry standards, particularly API 510, 570 and 653. Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team. Foster a culture of safety and quality assurance. Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

Required: High school diploma or equivalent Five (5) to (10) years’ experience or two or more (2+) years on site experience API 510/570 Certification (API 653 a plus)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

In-depth working knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME standards Move, carry, and lift objects up to 50 lbs Must be able to walk, stand, bend, reach, and climb. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Experience working in direct support of petrochemical facility engineers. Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proven experience in managing tank-related projects. Strong understanding of industry regulations and best practices
