PRJ - AIM Field Technician

The Asset Integrity Management (AIM) Technician is an integral member of the project team responsible for leading the department in collecting, organizing, and managing data, identifying corrosion loops and inspection circuits on drawings, and performing data entry.

What You Will Do:

 Collect and organize process equipment technical data including: Process safety information Engineering design documents and drawings Maintenance records Inspection records Develop baseline and redline field sketches for various technical drawings Process flow diagrams (PFDs) Piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) Inspection isometric drawings for fixed equipment and piping Populate and update data required for proper implementation and maintenance of inspection database management systems (IDMS) such as Visions, PCMS, Meridium, etc. Populate various spreadsheets for mechanical integrity projects Populate master equipment list (MEL) spreadsheets by reviewing available materials of construction and design data for fixed equipment (i.e.: pressure vessels and piping) as indicated in U-1A forms, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), fabrication, or general arrangement drawings as well as piping specifications Populate piping line lists Populate piping circuit identification lists  Highlight Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and P&IDs with required color coding and line patterns to assist with Corrosion and Material Diagrams (CMDs) generation or updating Highlight fixed equipment and piping system corrosion loops (systems) at the PFD level Highlight fixed equipment and piping system inspection circuits at the P&ID level Assist with placement of condition monitoring locations (CMLs) on isometric drawings Provide critical feedback to project management when cost or scheduling issues are recognized

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

Required: High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD), AIM or other relevant technical experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

General knowledge of and experience working in refineries and chemical plants General knowledge of components used in pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and piping systems General knowledge of processes in refineries and chemical plants Working knowledge and practical experience with AutoCAD (or similar) software Proficiency in Word and Excel (ability to match fonts, indentions, create tables, and use basic functions) Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam Understanding of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Management System
