Private Investments Due Diligence Analyst

The Private Investments Due Diligence (PIDD) Team, a part of JPMorgan Chase & Co’s Asset & Wealth Management division, is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and monitoring private investment funds and co-investments. Strategies span the private investment universe including buyout, growth equity, venture capital, private credit, real estate, and infrastructure. Based in New York with offices in London & Mumbai, the team evaluates alternative investment opportunities using a disciplined approach and has completed 300+ funds representing over $100 billion in client commitments. The team collaborates closely with other Alternatives teams across Investment Solutions.

Job Summary

As a Wealth Management, Private Investments Due Diligence Analyst within the Private Investments Due Diligence (PIDD) Team at JPMorgan Chase & Co’s Asset & Wealth Management division, you will be responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and monitoring private investment funds and co-investments. You will have the opportunity to work closely with other Alternatives teams across Investment Solutions, attend meetings with prospective and existing fund managers, and build specific knowledge of private markets. Your role will involve rigorous investment analysis and the creation of detailed investment collateral. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a global investment team and contribute to a team that has completed 300+ funds representing over $100 billion in client commitments since 2000.

Job Responsibilities

Assist senior team members in the sourcing, underwriting, and monitoring of private investment funds (and direct co-investments, to a lesser extent). Attend meetings with prospective and existing fund managers. Build specific knowledge of private markets and actively follow ongoing trends. Complete rigorous investment analysis, including assessment of prior track record, operational metrics, cash flows, and value creation. Create detailed investment collateral for internal and / use, including investment committee presentations. Closely monitor and document post-investment updates, including manager update calls and client reporting. Be able to travel for work on a limited basis (up to ~2-3 times per year).

​Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities​​

1 year and not more than 2 years in investment banking, investment due diligence, portfolio management, or a similar investment role. Excellent quantitative skills, including understanding of basic corporate finance concepts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including representing JPMorgan in internal/external meetings. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. Ability to think critically, problem-solve, and learn new concepts. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to maintain discretion working with highly confidential information.
