Job Description

The Private Equity Practice Lead will play a pivotal role in building, developing and managing Acumatica’s Private Equity Practice. This position will focus on strengthening relationships with private equity (PE) firms and their portfolio companies, promoting Acumatica’s ERP solutions that cater to the specific challenges and growth goals of PE-backed businesses. The overall aim is to drive incremental software sales for Acumatica and our partners.

This role seeks a self-starter and business builder, with a keen focus on driving growth, solving problems, and advancing portfolio value creation. The goal is not just to sell software but to become a trusted partner in helping PE firms and their portfolio companies scale efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Relationship Management: Recruit, develop, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with private equity firms and their portfolio companies.Solution Promotion: Work closely with internal teams to promote tailored Acumatica ERP solutions, positioning them as key drivers of business growth for PE-backed companies.Business Development: Plan, organize, and participate in relevant industry events, conferences, and webinars to build Acumatica’s brand presence, engage with potential clients, and generate new business leads.Internal Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (product, sales, marketing, and implementation) to customize and deliver ERP solutions that meet the specific challenges of private equity firms and their portfolio companies.

QualificationsDemonstrated track record of success in selling mid-market or enterprise software solutions, ideally with cloud-based ERP systemsProven ability to develop and maintain strategic relationships with private equity (PE) firms, understanding their needs and driving mutually beneficial outcomes.Deep knowledge of the private equity market, including the unique challenges faced by PE-backed companies, such as operational inefficiencies, scalability concerns, and growth strategies.A highly driven, proactive individual with the ability to work independently, identify opportunities, and take the initiative to drive results.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions, present tailored solutions to senior stakeholders, and influence decision-makers.Comfort in setting and meeting sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs), consistently delivering on revenue and growth goals.

For this role, the salary range is $140,000-$160,000 annually. This range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job and may vary based on location. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and other relevant elements.
At Acumatica, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
