Print Software Program Manager

The Print Software Program Delivery team is looking for a strong candidate to coordinate complex deliveries from multiple scrum teams as a Team of Teams Program Manager for PSPS, supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) enablement. The candidate will be responsible for managing schedules & commitments, monitoring progress against milestones, managing escalations, and providing concise updates to leadership.

Responsible for working with technical partners to scope and define the technical design, driving execution, and delivery of a software feature, solution, or product. Serves as the bridge between cross-functional teams including marketing, Design, and R&D.  Partners with Product Owners to refine the requirements and distribute work into logical customer valued deliverables, and opportunistically identifies synergies with HP's existing systems.  Responsible for defining the overall approach and architecture with the team and is accountable for defining the overall quality plan for that feature, solution, or product, and ensuring the on-time delivery, escalating, as necessary.

Responsibilities:

Facilitates the planning and execution of complex projects or programs, specifically NPI and derivative enablement, in support of the continuing evolution of the organization's software products.

Partners with cross-functional software development teams to help them prioritize, plan, track and execute NPI and derivative enablement requests.

Continuously assesses and improves the processes that comprise the software development lifecycle, particularly in relation to NPI and derivative enablement.

Provides technical expertise and guidance to ensure that solutions meet quality and performance standards.

Communicates project status, progress, and challenges through regular reporting and presentations to leadership.

Ensures that all stakeholders are aligned towards a common goal by meeting and receiving feedback on an ongoing basis.

Drives and tracks software releases, features and bug fixes, testing, and documentation.

Knowledge & Skills:

Experience in developing commercial software products using agile development practices.

Expertise in managing cross-organizational software development projects from initiation through delivery.

Familiarity with NPIs and SW/Solution dependencies to them.

Hands-on experience with developing and reporting on metrics for engineering development.

Problem-solving experiences with large-scale systems.

Comprehensive experience with a controlled software release process involving a product lifecycle management tool.

Education & Experience:

 • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

 • Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in program/project management, scrum master, professional technology organization, or a related field.

The base pay range for this role is $130,350 to $200,750 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
