About the Role:
A print production coordinator manages the production process from quotation to delivery of the final traditional print piece. They will manage complex projects including: direct mail campaigns, seasonal/promotional campaigns, and point-of-sale materials fulfillment. They work closely with the marketing manager to create specifications, give examples of viable print materials and prepress advice as well as quotes for budgeting and planning purposes. An ideal candidate has basic understanding of Adobe Suite and InDesign programs, Microsoft Office Suite, file formats for print and prepress processes. Ability to attend and sign off on high profile press checks when necessary. Knowledgeable about color processes and choices, print finishing techniques and paper specifications. Monitors quality of work delivered by vendors to ensure standards are being met. Develops print production cost saving initiatives, improving efficiency while maintaining quality.
Responsibilities:
Manage up to 15 vendors; work with procurement on negotiating contracts and pricing as well as one off job quotes and sources new vendors as needed.
Ensure consistency of terms of agreements with vendors
Approve vendor bids and creates purchase orders for the Marketing team as well as provides budgetary support to the channel.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously using multiple external vendors and delivering projects by scheduled delivery dates
Oversees the accrual process for print jobs
Communicates vendor guidelines and specifications to business owners.
Works closely with Marketing as well as Business Development on multiple launch schedules, budgets and delivery.
Print in-store collateral and work with fulfillment to launch the materials and manage the inventory after launch.
Support internal teams on print and fulfillment related questions.
Manages the production process from front to end.
Create specifications and provide input to material choices
Quality control of print pieces and improve efficiency
Qualifications:
Three or more years of project management skills, preferably in an operational environment
Strong organizational skills, highly detail oriented, while working in a fast paced environment
Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to collaborate internally to achieve projects on time and within budget
Due to the high number of pieces per launch must possess time management and organizational discipline.
Experience with Noosh, Adobe Suite, InDesign, and Office Suite, ftp, G Suite
Prepress and vendor management experience
Direct Mail experience, understanding of postal requirements and mailing specifications
Budgeting and bid experience, Oracle financial experience preferred
Strong people and organizational skills; along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experienced print scheduler
Inventory and logistics background
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
