Print operators are responsible for operating sidewall and plate decorating lines which include Van Dam dry offset printers and F&L plate decorators. Print jobs range from 1 to 6 colors. Operators are responsible for complete operation of the lines including artwork set-ups, size changes, color changes and in-run adjustments to maintain print quality. Print operators are expected to frequently monitor quality to ensure that all products being run meet customer and WNA’s expectations by matching the approved signed artwork and supervisor-approved sample and ensuring that packaging and labels match the customer specs documented on the ECS.
First Shift - 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Second Shift - 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Third Shift - 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Essential Functions:
Set up and operate dry offset printing presses to meet standard production rates. Monitor quality of print throughout production runs, ensuring that print matches the signed/approved sample. Maintain a scrap rate per run at or below standard (2.0%). Review product load sheets for accuracy and package finished goods accordingly. Troubleshoot, maintain and perform minor maintenance on Presses as needed. Load and pack a press while monitoring inks and quality during assigned work time. Abide by and enforce all WNA policies and procedures. Keep press and surrounding area clean and organized with all adjustments clean of ink and no tape or temp repairs on the press. Oversee the performance of assigned work cell. Other tasks as assigned or as required. \n Some printing and mechanical experience desired. Must be an active learner and listener with prior troubleshooting and mechanical skills. Eligible to work in the United States. Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen. Work overtime - including weekends - as required. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation. The commitment to stay safe and to continue to learn and develop. Ability to complete training courses as assigned by management.
