Principal Technology Consultant

ADP is hiring a GlobalView Principal Technology Consultant. In this position you will be a member of North America Project Management Office organization, an organization that drives strategic business transformation, ensuring removal of organizational pains and driving innovation that improves market competitiveness and shapes the future of payroll in our region. This key role will lead a team of configuration/technical consultants whose responsibility it is to support and maintain GlobalView automation tools, such as process models, RET, BPMS and RPA. In addition to supporting a team of consultants, this role will be critical in executing key project initiatives in the areas of technical improvements in conjunction with other business units.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Possesses SAP Payroll Configuration skills, including process model expertise (RET is a plus). Possesses a continuous improvement mindset that is striving to better our automation tools and systems. Leads the automation and tools support team, assigning resources and priorities as needed. Provides third level expertise guidance and training to automation and tools support consultants. Acts as escalation for automation and tools support team within Globalview PMO. Acts as Lead Consultant in assigned projects and strategic automation initiatives. Works closely with Product & Service Delivery organization in requirement deep dive sessions and development testing. Represents NORAM PMO organization providing guidance and expertise to other business units in Globalview on technical and automation tools and systems. Acts as an automation and tools champion for regional and/or global representation. Provides guidance on design and configuration of complex solutions as well as provides functional/technical expertise. Meets and partners with various GV teams to gather key requirements to design technical solutions. Gathers and writes requirements, use cases and specifications for a variety of Globalview PMO projects. Participates in project workshops by providing expertise and documenting requirements. Ensures the delivery of technical automation that will meet the needs of our business partners. Supports in relevant training and knowledge sharing with service teams pre and post project go-live. Responsible for working with other Business Units to find efficiencies and automation opportunities. Work closely with PMO’s Transition to Service team on technical/automation best practices. Builds continuous knowledge of ADP GlobalView SAP, BPMS, Process Models (RET is a plus), other tools that instills confidence in our internal/external clients. Continually maintains and upgrades knowledge and skill base through a wide variety of available resources to ensure familiarity. Learns future products and new tools as they are deployed. Proactively seeks ways to provide a better client experience, recommending enhancements to products and processes. Participates in ongoing departmental improvement initiatives. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Appropriate tertiary level education or equivalent industry experience. At least 5 years of proven hands-on SAP Payroll configuration / consulting experience in the US and/or Canada.  A minimum of 5 years of SAP automation tools experience, process models is a must and RET is a plus. Analytical thinking problem solving skills -- work systematically and logically to resolve problems, address opportunities or manage the situation at hand, identify causes, relationships and implications. Fluent English (verbal and written) required

Consulting skills, understand business requirements and mapping to ensure consistency to ADP template, while minimizing risk to both client and ADP. Methodologies - demonstrate knowledge and application of key methodologies employed by Implementation team and Project implementation methodology. Ability to prioritize tasks and time management skills. Ability to work across various projects simultaneously. Ability to lead a team of consultants to effectively troubleshoot, resolve and/or implement a solution. Strong knowledge of one or more Payroll, Human Resources, Portal or Time Management SAP modules configuration and design. Ability to use tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Visio to effectively update and maintain documentation/ training/ demonstrations. Client focused, demonstrate concern for meeting and exceeding immediate and future needs of clients.
