Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is currently seeking a Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist to join our team of diverse professionals. This position will support our Global Supply Chain team and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA.

Position is based from our Sunnyvale, CA office and provides an option for a hybrid or telecommute schedule.

Essential Functions:

Sources and procures goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliersInitiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliersIn conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedulesWorks with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products requiredIdentifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations and optimize volume pricing through bid package strategiesEvaluating supplier proposals and placing compliant purchase ordersExtracting, monitoring, analyzing, and validating data information from multiple sourcesDeveloping engaging and collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal partners/customers to drive problem resolutionEmploys sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activitiesEnsures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recordedReviews and approves supplier payment as neededRuns and analyzes metrics reports and disperses to key contacts and departmentsAssist in the design and maintenance of team SharePoint/Teams sitesCandidates must be able to make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by regulated industryUtilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in supply chain management; 3+ years experience in supply chain with a Masters; will consider 9+ years of experience in supply chain in lieu of a bachelors degreeUS Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional experience in a regulated industry; to include Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, TelecommunicationsExperience with FAR/DFARExperience with ERP systems, preferably SAP  

Salary Range: $73,300.00 - $121,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
