About the role
The Principal Solution Engineer will play a pivotal role in the continued success of Kyriba by combining deep treasury expertise, consultative sales skills, and value-based business case development. This role will collaborate with current and prospective clients in the region to explore, justify, and realize business value from Enterprise Liquidity Management initiatives while demonstrating Kyriba’s treasury technology solutions.
Working closely with corporate Finance, Treasury, Accounting, Payments, and Risk Management departments, the Principal Solutions Engineer will consult on strategic investments, transformation initiatives, and modernization efforts. This role will engage in pre-sales activities to secure new business. The position requires a mix of thought leadership, change management, and technical acumen to drive Kyriba’s market leadership.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Lead business case development and value-based consulting for current and prospective clients within the region.Develop and deliver strategic product demonstrations to illustrate the benefits of Kyriba’s solutions.Responsible for whiteboarding, discovery and executing workshops with prospective clientsResponsible for building proof-of-concepts for customer specific scenariosResponsible for preparing for meetings and tailoring communications to address business needs of potential clients as part of the pre-sales processCollaborate with Sales teams to support pre-sales activities, respond to RFPs/RFIs, and tailor communications to client needs.Promote new thinking about Enterprise Liquidity Management (Treasury, Risk Management, Payments, and Working Capital Management) and collaboratively develop cases for change.Enhance existing value-engineering tools and methodologies while contributing new intellectual property.Partner with Professional Services and Client Success teams to refine value messaging using benchmarks and historical business case data.Represent Kyriba at conferences, seminars, and client engagements, acting as a thought leader in treasury technology.Stay current on market trends, competitive differentiators, and evolving business needs in corporate finance.Provide feedback to Product Management on client requirements, product gaps, and market opportunities.Support Sales Enablement initiatives, including training for new hires and ongoing sales education.Travels throughout sales territory (DACH)Education, Experience & Skills
A master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is strongly preferred5+ years relevant experience in presales or a sales support function8+ years relevant experience in treasury, cash management or corporate finance, or in a technology role related to these practicesCandidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in treasury, or software sales (or combination of both) and knowledge of technology.Candidate should be comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base.Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports.Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.Deep understanding in corporate cash & liquidity management processesKnowledge related to corporate financial risk management practices related to foreign exchange and interest rate hedgingAble to communicate technical and business information to widely varied audiencesExcellent interpersonal relationship building skillsAbility to understand business processes and business problemsAbility to understand financial data relationships and how that data can be used to solve business problemsAbility to multi-task and be able to represent multiple subjects and productsAbility to understand and capture business and technical requirements related to Treasury servicesAbility to develop a broad awareness of the client's financial technical architecture and emerging technologies with enough knowledge to determine what is and is not possible.Knowledge of strategic, conceptual, consultative sellingAbility to develop marketing messages and deliver them effectivelyMust be prepared for travel#LI-Remote
