We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer, who has demonstrated the ability to work across team and organization boundaries to debug and solve complex problems.

**Responsibilities**
In the role of Principal Software Engineer, you will collaborate with your counterparts in Engineering and other disciplines to help shape a successful product definition. You will be responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, validation, and deployment of your features to production, ensuring appropriate monitoring of your components. You will have the opportunity to solve problems of enterprise level scale, performance, operational costs, and compliance, leveraging the bleeding edge of technologies like conversational AI. You will provide leadership and guidance in shaping the architecture and implementation of functionality across the broader organization, helping the team achieve its Objectives and Key Results.
**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 5+ years’ experience building modern UI components.
**Other Requirements:**
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
+ **Microsoft Cloud Background Check:** This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ The ability to work on cross team/org projects.
+ The ability to learn modern technologies and getting things running on them.
+ Experience with problem solving and debugging skills.
+ Experience in building conversational AI agents.
+ Knowledge/experience with frameworks like React\GraphQL.
+ Experience with agile project management methodologies.
Software Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
