Principal Project Procurement Manager

Westinghouse is looking for passionate and driven Principal Project Procurement Manager to join our growing team to support multiple major projects in the US and Asia. Supporting the roadmap to qualifications of components within Nuclear Fuels, you will join a team who are driving real change in the nuclear energy market.

 

Acting as Procurement lead responsible for nuclear fuel projects you will work with cross-functional teams to build and execute project strategies, procurement plans, and contracting strategies for end-to-end delivery from concept to close.

 

As Part of the Global Supply Chain Solutions (GSCS) Project Procurement Team, the candidate will preferably have a strong Supply Chain (Strategy, RFx, Supplier Relationship, Contract Negotiation, and Contract Management) background with experience in purchasing of services and equipment for major projects, including Engineering Procurement Construction and Commissioning (EPCC). You will be a direct interface to our internal customers: Business Unit, Engineering, Quality and Sales Departments, and Project Managers. You will have strong commercial relationship skills towards suppliers with the goal to provide clear, timely and innovative solutions to the organization’s requests.

 

An advanced level of spoken and written English, any additional language is a plus (Czech, Romanian, Polish, French, Italian, Spanish,…).

 

Your Day to Day:

The Principal Procurement Program Manager:

is responsible for defining a Procurement strategy according to the demand of the project and represent GSCS in a project team for any type of goods and services necessary for the project in compliance with the set requirements (cost, quality, deadline, etc.). will provide guidance and recommendations to the stakeholders to ensure commercial compliance with regulatory requirements and Westinghouse's procurement policies and procedures are fully integrated into the project. Will be acting according to the demand from the project, he/she will be interacting with the different pillar of the GSCS organization to make sure a proper sourcing strategy is developed and deployed. will have a good understand of the Nuclear market and his customer demand and stay update on the new technology from the market. is responsible to report weekly / monthly progress  on the GSCS procurement activities related to the project. Visibility on cost (Actual vs Budget) and Execution vs Plan. Work with Category Managers for any external communication with suppliers.   Take the ownership on Escalation process

Latitude of action

Work independently as part of a project team Interact autonomously with stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure compliance with the various milestones on its projects. deliver savings on the overall project is responsible to develop a sourcing strategy and follow the full execution together with Project Team. Identify and capture the demand, identify potential suppliers, and establish a communication channel towards the suppliers. Establish pricing, delivery, terms and conditions to satisfy financial, quality and delivery requirements. Preparation and coordination of the RFx Process and establish sourcing strategies for suppliers and services: Preparation of Proprietary Information Agreement (PIA) RFx development and preparation, definition of commercial conditions including knowledge of negotiation of NEC Terms and Conditions with Primary Contractors, Clients, and Subcontractors. Solicit quotations and analyze contract proposals while leading formulation of strategy and negotiation of pricing, delivery, terms and conditions to satisfy requirements for highly complex and specialized materials, equipment, components and services. Analyze and evaluate all elements of cost for commodity groups to identify and obtain cost improvements. Develop strategies and tactics to maximize supplier base cost/value. Develop and maintain extensive relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders while mediating and resolving contract performance issues. Utilize the corporate Approved Supplier List Process for sourcing requirements. Understand all the key operational & commercial elements of suppliers such as, but not limited to: Financial Stability and Objectives, Global/Regional/Local Presence, Available Capacity, Top customers and Top competitors and keep the Supply Chain Organization and business stakeholders informed of supplier capacity/performance and market constraints for future plans and actions. Understanding of supplier capacity, capability and manufacturing processes compared to project technical requirements in collaboration with GSCS Supplier Performance Organization. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirement and Westinghouse´s Procurement policies and procedures. Leading Contract preparation and purchasing process. Utilization of Best-Cost Country Sourcing

 

Who You Are:

BA/BS/ME degree in business or engineering /Supply Chain Certification / Project Management knowledge or equivalent experiences 5+ years experience, typically 10-15 years Experience in running large & complex projects. Advanced Procurement technical background & Contract Management
