Principal Program Manager

Overview
Blue Yonder is seeking a seasoned IT Principal Program Manager to join our Program Management team within the Information Technology department. Reporting to the PMO Director, this role is pivotal in leading complex IT security programs and ensuring their successful execution. We require a candidate with 7-10 years of experience in program management, proficient in contemporary IT frameworks, tools, and standards.

Location: This role is US-Remote with travel up to 10%


What You’ll Do:

Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement IT project plans aligned with business goals. Lead teams to ensure timely delivery of outcomes, manage portfolio alignment, and utilize DevOps frameworks for strategic initiativesStakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with senior executives and stakeholders to keep them informed of project progress Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure satisfactionRisk and Change Management: Identify and mitigate project risks Manage change requests and scope adjustments to achieve project goalsTools and Technology: Evaluate and implement advanced tools and technologies Stay informed about emerging IT trends to enhance the organization's technology postureBudget and Resource Management: Develop and manage project budgets and resource plans Ensure efficient use of resources to maximize effectivenessQuality Assurance: Implement processes to ensure deliverables meet expectations Use project management software to track progressLeadership and Team Development: Foster teamwork and collaboration Mentor junior project managers to enhance their skillsContinuous Improvement: Optimize project management processes Evaluate project outcomes to identify areas for improvementCoordination and Delivery: Coordinate key business decisions and initiatives for the IT organization Define success measures and partner with leadership to achieve IT targets and process improvementsPrioritization and Strategy: Lead prioritization of program initiatives in connection with overarching strategy and act as an IT championIssue and Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate issues and risks, integrating business perspectives into solutionsRelationship Building: Establish working relationships with stakeholders and become a trusted advisor

What We’re Looking For:

7-10 years of experience in program management, with a track record of delivering complex programs on time and within budgetStrong leadership skills to motivate and guide teams, manage conflicts, and negotiate solutionsExcellent communication skills for interacting with senior executives and stakeholdersIn-depth knowledge of IT security frameworks, tools, and standardsAbility to develop and manage budgets, forecast costs, and make data-driven decisionsSkilled in risk assessment and mitigation to ensure successful outcomesExperience in managing stakeholder expectations and building strong relationshipsKnowledge of contract management principles, including negotiation and vendor managementAbility to align project goals with strategic priorities and long-term visionStrong problem-solving skills to analyze complex issues and drive project successExperience driving strategic initiatives and collaborating with multidiscipline teamsAbility to handle multiple priorities with flexibility and accountability in a dynamic environmentPassion for results and continuous improvement, with the drive to motivate stakeholdersStrong meeting facilitation skills and ability to prioritize and communicate decisions effectivelySkilled at translating ambiguous business issues into structured problem statementsExhibits storytelling and persuasive influencing techniques to build trust and relationshipsLogical thinker capable of breaking down problems and holding teams accountable

The base salary range for this position is: $130,000 - $170,000

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data.  Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.  Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors.  In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
