Join us! GoFundMe is seeking our next Principal Product Manager who believes in the impact of GoFundMe and is passionate about our mission to help people help others. We are seeking a strategic and innovative Product Manager to focus on building new Donor Experiences on GoFundMe to drive donor acquisition, enhance donor engagement, and foster long-term retention. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management with a passion for creating user-centric experiences and driving platform growth.

Enhance Donor Acquisition:

Work closely with marketing to align product initiatives with marketing campaigns for cohesive messaging and strategy. Optimize the platform for search engines (SEO) and create engaging content to attract organic traffic.

Optimize the Donor Onboarding Experience:

Provide educational content about how donating works and the impact of donations. Design an engaging welcome flow that highlights key features and showcases popular fundraisers. Create an impact dashboard that provides donors with real-time updates and visualizations of their contributions' effects on various causes.

Improve Discovery and Personalization:

Enhance search functionality to help donors find causes and fundraisers that resonate with them. Use machine learning to offer personalized fundraiser recommendations based on donor behavior and preferences. Develop centralized cause hubs (e.g., disaster relie) to streamline discovery and engagement for donors on GoFundMe.

Enhance Donor Engagement and Retention:

Introduce gamification elements such as badges, milestones, and leaderboards to make donating more engaging. Implement a loyalty program that rewards repeat donations and long-term engagement. Provide donors with updates on the impact of their donations, including success stories and progress reports.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 8+ years of product management experience, with a focus on user experience, engagement, and retention. Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering successful products in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to run A/B experiments, interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels. Passion for social good and a deep understanding of the fundraising and nonprofit landscape.

The total annual salary for this full-time position is $220,000 - $300,000 + equity + benefits.  As this is a remote position, the salary range was determined by role, level, and possible location across the US. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
