The Quickbooks CRM team is looking for a Principal Designer to imagine, create, and leverage new Generative AI concepts, customer obsession and forward thinking patterns to solve problems for small and medium businesses. We are looking for design hackers, pragmatists, and unconventional thinkers to bridge the gap between conceptual design, emerging technologies and platform capabilities. You should be a maker and not afraid to take on complex challenges that lead to paradigm shifting ideas. You thrive in ambiguity and are a creative systems thinker. You’ll be part of a design team dedicated to proving and creating game changing user experiences that will help power prosperity for our customers and bring customers to the heart of the Intuit platform.
The expected base pay range for this position is:Bay Area: $229,000 - 309,500This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits (https://www.intuit.com/careers/benefits/full-time-employees/) ).Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. What you'll bring
+ 10+ years of experience in product design, preferably in a large-scale products
+ Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels
+ Expert in design systems, interaction design, and visual
+ Proven track record of leading and delivering impactful design solutions across large and complex products and platforms
+ Ability to convey holistic ideas and concepts through storyboarding, wireframing, and prototyping
+ A portfolio that demonstrates a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and a mastery of craft
+ Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with and influence other Design, Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering leaders to drive outcomes
+ Exceptional ability to analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions, identify opportunities, and measure outcomes
+ Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and inspire teams across functions
How you will lead
Strategic Design Leadership:
+ Define and drive the design vision for key PDX initiatives, aligning with Intuit's overall strategy and business goals
+ Set the bar for design principles and standards that promote consistency and excellence
+ Work with design and product leaders to develop future facing product and UX strategy
Design Execution and Innovation:
+ Lead the design of complex, cross-functional projects, from concept to completion
+ Create high-fidelity prototypes and design specifications that effectively communicate design intent and vision
+ Explore and implement innovative design solutions that leverage emerging emerging patterns and AI
+ Advance our design systems to be future forward, and efficient.
Storytelling and Communication:
+ Articulate design concepts and rationale through compelling presentations and narratives
+ Influence and inspire cross-functional teams and leadership through effective storytelling
+ Facilitate design artifacts, shares, workshops and critiques to drive alignment across leadership as well as both design and product teams
Mentorship and Influence:
+ Mentor and guide staff and senior designers, fostering their professional
+ Establish yourself as a thought leader within the design community, both internally and externally
+ Drive adoption of best practices, and new design
