Your role at Baxter:
As a member of Process Development &Transfer group, part of the Baxter R&D team of Infusion Therapies & Technologies organization, you will directly support product development projects.
What you’ll be doing:
Responsible for evaluation and development of manufacturing processes for parenteral pharmaceutical products
Design and conduct process development studies to scale up manufacturing processes for commercial production with a strong focus on solution aspects of the product
Lead the manufacturing development processes by interacting with the design, quality and manufacturing teams
Deliver robust products and production processes based on Quality by Design and risk-based approach and efficiently apply data analysis methodology to support critical decision making
Communicate continuously to the team and management any progress/status of the studies under your responsibility
Develop appropriate study design, complete the study and write appropriate documentation to support development and manufacturing studies
Employ appropriate techniques/methods to successfully and independently complete routine assignments within negotiated deadlines. Identify existing alternative methods and innovative technologies for improving existing or new products/processes
Conduct studies to support regulatory filings or to provide technical justifications for changes control
Maintain technical knowledge on manufacturing processes for various product families, technical platforms and plants
Analyze and determine the best solutions to non-routine experimental design or research problems with minimal assistance
Accurately assess results for validity and conformance to specifications
Maintain current knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements related to R&D (product development, process validation, design and safety) to ensure compliance in all research, data collection and reporting activities
Lead / support manufacturing investigation. You may be required to travel to other Baxter facilities to support projects execution (up to 20%)
What you’ll bring:
Bachelors in engineering or related with 5+ years of experience or Masters with 3+ years of experience
Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements related to product development, process validation, design and safety
Technical understanding of subject areas related to formulation, mixing, chemical engineering, and process performance qualification in pharmaceutical environment
Experience in evaluating and development of manufacturing processes
Strong communication skills
Travel up to 20%

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $96,000 to $132,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
