About the role:

Energoatom is a public enterprise operating 4 nuclear plants in Ukraine.  The scope of this project will be to assist in building, purchasing, training and qualifying a Nuclear Fuel Fabrication facility in Ukraine for Energoatom.  This position will initially require extensive time on site at the Westinghouse Columbia Fuels Facility, with the possibility to later transition into a full-time remote position.  No travel to Ukraine is required for this position.

As a Principal Mfg/Project Engineer Energoatom you will assume lead technical responsibility for development and administration of one or more major manufacturing programs, systems or activities.  This includes the specifications of new process, design, development, installation and qualification of new equipment. This also includes supporting equipment design upgrades to current equipment to improve equipment use and optimization.

You will report to the Program Manager Ergoatom and be located at Columbia, SC. You will have a hybrid workplace persona.

Key Responsibilities:

Take leadership role in coordinating efforts of working departments to implement project scope, schedule and meet spending targets. Analyze and recommend use of technological innovations in material, machinery, manufacturing and chemical processing techniques to solve complex manufacturing problems.

Consult on Development of process procedures of new plant operations

Provide consultation to Customer and personnel on process questions

Help create a data package for the customer based on current program.

Help with training personnel on basics of the relevant process.

Help with oversight new equipment and FAT tests to ensure equipment can meet applicable process requirements and procedures.

Qualifications:

BS in an engineering discipline.

3- 5 years in a manufacturing environment (level will be determined based on years of experience)

Nuclear Experience is desired but not required 

Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles

Experience in soft handling material flow preferred.
