Principal IT Business Analyst

The Principal IT Business Analyst plays a meaningful role in bridging the gap between IT management and business partners to deliver new business capabilities. This position involves working collaboratively with a diverse business community to document and analyze complex, cross-functional business processes.

As a Principal IT Business Analyst, a typical day might include the following:

Collaborate with IT management and business partners to capture and document detailed requirements, value streams, and processes.Identify and document both functional and non-functional requirements that describe new processes and technologies.Analyze and document current ("as-is") and future ("to-be") business processes, identifying any gaps and recommending changes to improve efficiency and outcomes.Independently assess and suggest business process and system changes.Act as a key member of implementation projects, contributing to requirements gathering, process design, testing, validation, and end-user training.Facilitate effective communication among business partners, IT teams, and project leadership.Support the change management process to ensure smooth transitions.Ensure that solutions align with departmental standards and principles, leverage common solutions, and meet financial targets.Provide functional advice and training to team members through peer reviews and knowledge management.Manage day-to-day interactions and expectations with collaborators for multiple or large-scale projects.Seek opportunities to improve partner satisfaction and deepen relationships.Develop a comprehensive understanding of business functions and their interrelations to support business objectives.Potentially lead junior team members or contractors.

This role may be for you if you have:

Proven experience in business analysis and process documentation.Strong communication and facilitation skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Experience in change management and stakeholder engagement.

In order to be considered for this position, you must hold a BS/BA in Information Technology or related field and 12 years relevant experience supporting technology projects and implementations required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience creating requirements, design documents and test scripts required. Experience in a manufacturing / GMP environment strongly preferred.

Salary Range (annually)

$89,100.00 - $145,500.00
