About the team:

The team is responsible for overseeing general ledger accounting, including forecasting A/R, A/P, inventory, and cash flow, while ensuring accurate financial statement preparation and budgeting for the Marshall operation. Key tasks include managing SAP P&L accounting, creating and reviewing department budgets, and supporting the creation of the Operating Plan (OP) and Long-Range Plan (LRP), as well as performing month-end close processes and financial reporting. Additionally, the team ensures Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, monitors cost accounting variances, supports inventory transactions analysis, and provides backup for payroll, all while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Your responsibilities as a Principal Financial Analyst: Responsible for review of general ledger accounting, Forecasting A/R, A/P, Inventory-Cash Flow, Financial Statement preparation, budgeting and forecasting for the Marshall operation. SAP P&L accounting. Budget and forecasts, specifically creating a budget for the Finance Department. Develop and review department budgets with department and staff managers & load into SAP. Assist in creation of Operating Plan (OP) and Long-Range Plan (LRP). Cost and quote new business, create month-end reports, month-end close, and financial statement preparation. Product Line/Portfolio Financial P&L Analysis Keep up to date on company standard practice instruction (SPI) changes. Maintain Sarbanes Oxley compliance. Report on the Financial Variances of cost accounting, scrap variance, and financial reporting. Oversee analysis of inventory transactions and report the impact on the plant’s P&L to management. Establish policies and procedures for cost accounting. Review and approve the cycle count results before posting to the P&L. Oversee/Support the annual physical inventory. Support PPV to VIN Recon with Division Finance and Purchasing. Provide support as the payroll backup.
