Job DescriptionAECOM’s Environment Business in Perth has an exciting opportunity for an environmental professional to join our high performing Impact Assessment & Permitting (IAP) Team. You will take a key role in delivering excellence in client-service on projects from a range of markets including Power (renewables and grid modernisation), Mining, Transport, and Defence.
Our IAP Technical Practice covers a range of service offerings within the Environment Business Line including undertaking environmental constraints analysis, environmental impact assessment, obtaining environmental approvals, environmental management, auditing, and environmental compliance.
We are looking for a Principal Environmental Scientist who can work collaboratively to prepare and manage high-quality environmental impact assessments. You will be confident in translating technical information into accessible language in your written work and other communications.
What will a day in this role look like:
Working closely with industry specialists to undertake and coordinate environmental impact assessments and approvals on high-profile, challenging projects.Work alongside Management Teams, to ensure environmental matters are appropriately considered and managed at all stages of design development and project constructionProject manage, develop bids and develop relationships with clients and stakeholders on a range of projects.Proven technical leadership and confidence managing multidisciplinary technical teams to identify risks, solve problems, communicate change through planning, design and approval processes.Support the continued growth of our business and foster the development of environmental planning and approvals across the region. What are we looking for from you?
Have a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline such as environmental science.Have strong environmental impact assessment experience, approvals or planning approvals across a number of market sectors and a good industry reputation.Have demonstrated experience working on major projects.Have solid project management/coordination skills, and commercial acumen to effectively manage resources, timelines, quality and budgets.Possess the emotional intelligence to develop and maintain positive peer and client relationshipsBe a strong team player, influencer, and, most importantly, a real collaborator.Be a good communicator with proven technical knowledge and a strong client focus.Additional Information
