Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant -Java, Selenium, Playwright and API automation
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Consultant proficient in Java, Selenium and API automation to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in leading and delivering high-quality software solutions to our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and executing automated test scripts using Java and Selenium, as well as conducting functional testing to ensure the reliability and performance of software applications.
Responsibilities
Lead consulting projects and engagements, serving as the primary point of contact for clients and providing strategic guidance on testing strategies, automation frameworks, and quality assurance processes.
Architect, design, and implement robust test automation solutions using Java, Selenium, and API testing frameworks to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of software applications.
Develop tests that validate application behavior across multiple browsers and devices, leveraging Playwright's capabilities for browser automation.
Develop and maintain automated test suites for API endpoints and database interactions, leveraging tools and libraries such as RestAssured and JDBC.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and project managers, to define testing requirements, establish best practices, and drive continuous improvement in software quality.
Design and implement automated tests using Playwright for web applications to ensure functionality, performance, and usability.
Conduct code reviews, performance optimizations, and troubleshooting to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of test automation scripts and frameworks.
Mentor and coach junior consultants and team members, providing technical guidance, sharing knowledge, and fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in software testing and quality assurance, and apply relevant methodologies and tools to enhance testing processes and practices.
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in software development, quality assurance, and test automation.
Experience in Java, Selenium Playwrire
API testing.
Agile, Jira
Strong proficiency in Java programming language, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks and libraries.
expertise in Selenium WebDriver for web application testing, including page object model (POM) design patterns and browser automation.
Experience with API testing frameworks such as RestAssured, Postman, or SOAPUI, and proficiency in testing RESTful and SOAP web services.
Solid understanding of database concepts, SQL querying, and experience in database testing using JDBC or similar libraries.
Preferred qualifications
Banking / Capital Markets domain experience.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive resolution in a collaborative team environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Leadership experience, including leading teams, managing projects, and driving technical initiatives to successful completion.
Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., ISTQB, Java certifications) are a plus.
The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity.
