Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant - Cloud Engineering OCI PaaS

In this role, you will be responsible you will design, implement, and manage our OCI PaaS environments, ensuring the smooth operation, security, and scalability of cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud engineering, particularly with OCI, and a strong background in automation, DevOps, and cloud-native application development.

Responsibilities
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) PaaS.
• Develop and maintain strategies for OCI PaaS adoption and migration, aligning with business goals and best practices.
• Lead the modernization and migration of legacy applications to OCI PaaS.
• Deploy, manage, and maintain OCI PaaS services, including Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle Integration Cloud, and Oracle Application Development services.
• Optimize PaaS environments for performance, cost, and security.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of PaaS services.
• Architect, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Oracle Developer Cloud, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Oracle Resource Manager.
• Integrate automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery processes into the PaaS environment.
• Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance requirements in OCI PaaS environments.
• Conduct security assessments, audits, and implement necessary controls and monitoring solutions.
• Manage identity and access management (IAM) policies and procedures for PaaS services.
• Monitor PaaS service performance and reliability using tools like Oracle Cloud Monitoring, Oracle Management Cloud, and Application Performance Monitoring.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to PaaS services and cloud infrastructure.
• Analyze and optimize PaaS environments to improve efficiency and performance.
• Work collaboratively with development, operations, and security teams to deliver high-quality cloud solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of PaaS environments, processes, and procedures.
• Prepare and present regular reports on PaaS performance, security, and cost optimization.

Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant professional training are a plus.
• Experience in system administration, with experience in designing, deploying, and managing OCI PaaS services at scale.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security practices and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Extensive experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and OCI PaaS services.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Oracle Resource Manager.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Deep understanding of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD, automated testing, and configuration management.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Relevant certifications such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Architect, Oracle Cloud Platform Application Development 2021 Specialist, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a proactive and self-motivated attitude towards achieving project goals.
