Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Construction Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The position is located in Sunnyvale, CA.

Seeking a Facilities Construction Engineer/Project Manager to:

Interface with internal end-users, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth planning, execution, and completion of various facilities-related projects.

Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

Managing facilities projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet all technical specifications, budgetary constraints, and deadlines.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop project scopes, timelines, and budgets with end-users and stakeholders.

Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of facilities projects, including design, renovations, relocations, and new construction to meet end-users objective.

Lead project teams, including architects, contractors, and engineers, ensuring clear communication and coordination.

Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.

Ensure all projects comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

Manage vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts and overseeing performance.

Conduct regular project inspections to assess progress and identify any issues or risks.

Prepare and present project reports, including status updates, financial tracking, and risk management plans.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure facilities meet operational needs and company standards.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management and Planning, Architecture, Interior Design, Facilities Engineering, Construction Management, or other related field with five (5) years of related management experience, OR a Master's degree with three (3) years of related experience OR nine (9) years of facilities/construction project experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

Prepares Scopes of Work and supporting documents for procurement of design and construction services

US citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven track record of managing facilities projects from inception to completion.

Strong knowledge of building systems, engineering, and construction methods

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., AutoCAD).

Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Familiarity with sustainability practices and LEED certification is a plus.

Interaction will all levels of the organization, including external contractors

Strong oral and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability

Strong Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio

Salary Range: $97,500.00 - $146,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
