Principal Actuary - Pharmacy Analytics

Job Description

Join us as a Principal Actuary, where your expertise in actuarial science and pharmacy analytics will drive our strategic initiatives. In this role, you'll leverage your analytical skills to support all actuarial functions related to our Pharmacy strategy. As a seasoned professional, you'll collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and other actuarial departments to achieve our goals. Additionally, you may lead specific projects, guiding and mentoring team members to success.

Actively contributes to the success of the Actuarial Services team.

Responsible for handling highly complex actuarial modeling.

Leads and/or provides consultative support to assigned projects and is viewed as an expert in the field.

Assists in pharmacy pricing for all commercial segments

Develop/Maintain self-funded pharmacy pricing model. Works within team to model updates and coordinates implementation with underwriting.

Perform Pharmacy Trend analysis

Communicates and collaborates effectively with key pharmacy stakeholders on relevant pharmacy topics

Assists in support for Financial Forecasting

Support evaluation of financial impacts of PBM and other vendors

Works effectively with external vendors, including PBM partner contacts

Continuing Education

Responsible for maintaining continuing education requirements as set by the appropriate Actuarial governing body (i.e. Society of Actuaries)

Is a participant in good standing in the Actuarial Development Program, if still pursuing the FSA designation

Hiring Requirements

Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)

Member of the American Academy of Actuaries

5+ years of experience in related field

In lieu of an ASA, alternate actuarial credentials may be considered.

In lieu of 5 years of experience, may consider candidates who are Fellows of the Society of Actuaries (FSA).

Nice to haves

Experience with Pharmacy Analytics is strongly preferred

Advanced skills in SQL

Salary Range
