Job DescriptionTo develop and execute the De Beers Group Security Strategy, in support of strategic and operational business plans and aligned with the broader De Beers Group Security strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Actively participate in the company’s drive for a culture of zero harm, with a meticulous focus on health, safety, environmental and security strategiesResponsible for guiding the work of the Consultant’s Security System Integrators through the definition of requirements and provision of all applicable De Beers and Anglo American standards.Leads and embeds, together with the De Beers Group Operations and the project implementation team, the fit-for purpose consolidation of the Security function. Ensures the business case of the change is realised safely, sustainably and in partnership with all relevant stakeholders.Providing strategic direction and interfacing with relevant constituents using advisory authority. Formulating, developing and implementing a Security governance and assurance frameworkDevelops and implements the Group Security Strategy, policies, processes and standards, in support of strategic business and operational plans, and in alignment with the De Beers Group business strategy, including the implementation of security programmes and projects related to protective security.Monitor, report on, evaluate and adapt the implementation of security programmes, risks, initiatives and strategies throughout De Beers GroupEnsures that the required operating model, structure, people capability, culture and leadership are in place for security within DBG Operations, ensuring that teams are continuously optimised and aligned to achieve the organisation’s future ambitions. Develops and assists in the development of Risk Management processes (Risk. Threat/vulnerability assessments)Performing white sheet design security vulnerability and risk assessments based on conceptual process and building designs.Developing project specific security risk profiles and security risk mitigation strategies.Interpreting and analysing the holistic security and product protection requirements for each project.Developing requirement specifications.Conceptualising and developing sustainable security solutions to meet project requirements and mitigate risk.Identifying and overseeing trade-off studies to be undertaken during projects.Validating Security Concepts through integrative multi-disciplinary PoC studies and/or laboratory evaluations.Ensuring implementation of Best Practice standards on all projects.Providing input and reviews civil, mechanical and process designs ensuring adherence to security requirements and standards.Ensuring seamless integration of the holistic Security concepts, systems and specialised diamond control requirements with other technical disciplines at project level.Reviewing security system technical designs and cost estimates ensuring adherence to requirements and standards.Developing People Flow Simulation models.Compiling Trade-off Study Reports.Conducting compliance verification audits during the execution phase projects.Preparing Security OPEX and CAPEX cost estimates.QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: (Education & Experience)
QUALIFICATIONS
A tertiary level qualification in a relevant field required. Postgraduate studies advantageous.EXPERIENCE
Demonstrated experience as a Senior Security Projects and Systems in multi-national organisations of similar scale and complexity with a minimum of 10 years related experience.the Security technical environmentDemonstrated experience of shaping a security function/environment by applying best practice and innovation in the field.SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES:
