Job Purpose
To provide advisory services to clients which encompasses solutions and services and assisting clients to achieve their strategic goals.
Job Responsibilities Build and maintain stakeholder relationships by formal and informal engagements (meetings; phone calls). Build and maintain working relationships by attending team and relevant forum meetings, sharing expert advice and social engagements. Manage stakeholder expectations by providing regular updates on progress to the team; client; regulator and other stakeholders. Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc.) Seek opportunities to improve business processes; models and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank. Manage projects / transactions to completion by planning, allocating resources and monitoring transaction progress. Ensure compliance by adhering to rules from the regulator; policies and procedures and executing on the mandate. Manage conflicting situations by identifying and analysing the problem; develop appropriate solution and take corrective actions. Manage team performance on transactions by identifying and addressing performance gaps; up skilling; monitoring and reviewing performance. Originate new transactions or clients for the bank by regular interaction through cold calling; referrals and networking. Oversee and manage transactions in a cost-effective manner by conducting cost benefit analysis of various execution strategies. Ensure relevant continuous pitching to target clients' by identifying the target client’s needs; develop the appropriate pitch and present to the relevant stakeholders. Support the achievement of the business strategy; objectives and values by reviewing Nedbank and Business Unit Plan and ensuring delivered systems; process; services and solutions are aligned. Improve personal capability and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from managers. Ensure personal growth and enable effectiveness in performance of roles and responsibilities by ensuring all learning activities are completed; experience practiced, and certifications obtained and/or maintained within specified time frames. Enable upskilling and required corrective action to take place by sharing knowledge and industry trends with team and stakeholders during formal and informal interaction. Obtain buy-in for developing new and/or enhanced processes (e.g. operational processes) that will improve the functioning of stakeholders' businesses by highlighting benefits in support of the implementation of recommendationsEssential Qualifications - NQF Level Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree Preferred Qualification
Chartered Accountant (SA), Chartered Financial Analyst, MBA, Masters in Finance, JSE Approved Executive
Minimum Experience Level8-12 years experience in Corporate Finance
