Job Description We have an exciting opportunity on the Building Construction Products (BCP) pricing team for a Pricing Consultant. This role is a trusted advisor and consultant to the Backhoe Loader (BHL) product group and BCP industry team to achieve profitable growth through excellent decision support and consulting. In this role, you will develop pricing recommendations and execute differentiated pricing strategies with direct involvement with BCP leaders. **What You Will Do:** + Work with key stakeholders in the development of pricing strategies for new and existing Backhoe Loader products and services + Analyze, interpret and communicate a wide variety of data (economic and competitive environment, revenue and profitability, and historical forecasted sales, prices, discounts and price realization) to draw business insights and recommend actions to maximize sales and profitability + Develop advanced strategic pricing recommendations for new and existing products and services to drive value-based pricing + Execute strategic and tactical price action within a robust pricing governance framework to implement future price changes **What You Have:** + Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study + Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment. + Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. + Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. + Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. **Top Candidates will also have:** + Base knowledge of various Caterpillar product, product applications, merchandising programs, and business systems + Strong analytical skills + Effective communication skills, both written and oral + Previous experience working with commercial and/or sales teams + Ability to work collaboratively across multiple groups and various levels of the organization **Additional Info:** + This position is available in Cary, NC + Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify + Sponsorship is not available + Domestic travel up to 5% **Additional Information:** This employer is not currently hiring foreign national applicants that require or will require sponsorship tied to a specific employer, such as H, L, TN, F, J, E, O.
