Accommodation is available upon request for candidates taking part in the selection process. **Pricing Actuary, NA E&O** **Professional Lines Pricing** **Actuarial** **How does this role contribute to our collective success?** As a pricing actuary for the AXIS North American E&O units, this individual will support the Professional Lines book, with a focus on Allied Health. They will proactively engage with Reserving, Risk Management, Finance, Claims and Data & Analytics colleagues to achieve desired business outcomes and implement business strategies. **What will you do in this role?** + Lead monthly and quarterly reporting processes, including renewal rate monitoring + Work closely with underwriters and wider pricing team to scope, build, develop, document and maintain rating models + Lead portfolio monitoring analyses, work closely with underwriters to identify issues, discuss opportunities, assist in the development of action plans and monitor the impact on the book of business + Support selection of loss ratios in the financial plan, with consideration of business strategies, market conditions, mix of business, loss trend, loss costs and reinsurance structures + Establish and maintain tracking and monitoring processes to identify and communicate key insight emergence + Monitor the execution of underwriting actions and strategy implementation + Maintain the feedback loop of information and analyses between pricing, reserving, claims, capital modelling and business planning + Support the Underwriting team with AdHoc requests including (but not limited to) account pricing, rating model support, KPI summaries, etc **About You:** We encourage you to bring your own experience and expertise to the table, so while there are some qualifications and experiences, we need you to have, we are open to discussing how your individual knowledge might lend itself to fulfilling this role and help us achieve our goals. **What you need to have:** + At least 5 years’ experience in a pricing actuarial role, E&O background highly desired + Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society, or other relevant actuarial organization + SQL and Excel expertise + Collaborative and able to build relationships with underwriters, actuaries and other colleagues + Able to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience + Growth mind-set with a desire to seek diverse thought, learn from others and share knowledge **What we prefer you to have:** + Ability to manipulate complex datasets using tools such as VBA, SQL, R, or Python. + Experience building pricing models + Experience leading projects **Role Factors:** + Occasional travel for business **What we offer:** For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary of $150,000 to $180,000 (NY). Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location. In addition, you will be offered competitive target incentive compensation, with awards based on overall corporate performance and your individual performance.
