BALTIMORE FOUNDATION PRESIDENT 

The Market President works in collaboration with local market executive and clinical leaders, foundation functional leadership, the BSMH and local market foundation board of directors, donors and other key stakeholders. As local market president, this leader provides long-range strategic leadership and day to day administration of the local market foundation and is responsible for planning, organizing and directing diverse and comprehensive fundraising campaigns reaching all sectors of the community, pursuing fundraising strategies such as planned giving, major gifts, grants, and special events which will enhance the long-term financial health of the foundation and the advancement of BSMH and the local market, recognition and stewardship of major donors, and coordinating the distribution of foundation funds through internal and external fund distributions, and other means, to advance the Mission of BSMH. The president sets annual targets as part of the BSMH Foundation’s strategic plan and annual KPIs. This individual is part of the Foundation Leadership Team and collaborates with the appropriate group leader, the other market presidents, and system functional vice presidents.

Essential Job Functions

Drives sustainable local fundraising revenue growth, innovation, and development aligned with current and future trends within the healthcare and fundraising industriesIdentifies and initiates new strategies, prioritization of fundraising operations, best practices and tracking/dash boarding to meet expectation of local leadership, group expectations, and BSMH Foundation short and long range targets.Executes on KPIs associated with short and long term strategic goals.Serves as Foundation resource to market president and executive leaders providing business analytics, data, and predictive modeling to support their leadership workPrepares and presents market foundation performance and strategies to market president, executive leadership team, and the market foundation board to ensure they align with market projects and objectivesProvides support of market foundation board and committees and engages them in the identification, cultivation and solicitation of major giftsSupervises major gift officers, sets and monitors solicitation targets, and oversees local major gift prospect identification, assignments, cultivation and solicitationManages a personal portfolio of lead gift prospectsEstablish community partnerships and relationships with individuals, corporations, foundations, and leaders to increase awareness and support of the foundationEvaluate foundation performance toward meeting objectives and targets and implement changes for continual improvementEnsures that fund disbursements align with market opportunities and BSMH Foundation disbursement goalsLead and supervise the assigned local foundation staff, including but not limited to major gifts officers, administrative, and appropriate grant staff.This document is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job. REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s DegreeMinimum of 8 years of experience with progressive responsibility in leading teams, proven fundraising success, and advanced communication skills within a complex organizationWorking with Executives in a complex organization; collaborative with strong interpersonal skills; ability to identify problems, evaluate alternatives and implement effectively
