What you do

Reporting to the Hub Regional MD for South East Asia this role is accountable for leading the strategic direction of the sales function nationwide to strengthen Allianz Partners’ financial

performance and position the organisation as a market leader across all lines of business. The role forms part of the Allianz Partners Australia Executive team and also takes responsibility over the Indonesia BU as the President Director.

 

The President Director is the key leadership head in the company operating in our Indonesia entity. This role is responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring organizational success, and maintaining compliance with local regulations. The President Director collaborates with the board of directors, shareholders, and executive management to drive business growth while maintaining corporate governance standards.

 

This all-encompassing role is primarily responsible for:

 

The development of the strategic sales focus and the formation of tactical sales plans to achieve the organisation’s financial objectives. Overseeing the development and promotion of the Account Management function so as to ensure highly effective, client-focused relationship are established. Continually seeking opportunities to innovate and revolutionise the organisation’s value proposition across all lines of business. Developing highly collaborative and effective relationships across the organisation’s leadership team so as to enable the free flow of communication and ensure deep alignment throughout all teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Sales and Distribution Direction

Develop and guide initiatives underpinning the management of the end to end sales and distribution functions for all products across the 3 Lines of Business (Travel, Assistance and Health). Provide leadership to the Sales team so as to guide efforts surrounding the acquisition of new business that maximises revenue growth. Support local sales leaders to ensure a strong, consistent and ethical proposition is offered across all facets of the sales function. Provide guidance and leadership throughout contract negotiations so as to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes are sought in all instances. Develop and disseminate industry, market and customer intelligence throughout the organisation to ensure informed commercial decisions can be made. Identify potential opportunities for expanding services to existing and new clients and build highly collaborative networks that will enable future growth opportunities.

 

Development and Monitoring of Sales Plans

Drive local initiatives to ensure sales campaigns remain consistent with business growth strategy and objectives. Ensures the delivery of agreed sales revenue, operating profit and expense ratio targets Review research relating to existing and potential clients and customers so as to assist in the development and improvement of service in line with customer and industry needs. Leverage existing networks to effectively stay attuned with market and competitor intelligence and stay abreast of best practice Sales and eCommerce initiatives so as to ensure Allianz Partners remains competitive.

 

Operations Management

Work with senior leaders to achieve divisional and department goals and ensure operational excellence in all functions. Ensures Sales leaders are focused on meeting monthly and annual staff attrition and absenteeism targets.

 

Relationship Management and Stakeholder Management

Work collaboratively with all members of the Executives team to identify and develop opportunities for new business. Work closely with current and prospective clients to ensure sustainable relationships are maintained and to understand key issues likely to impact on the maintenance of harmonious and productive relationships. Serve as the primary representative of the company to internal and external stakeholders. Build and maintain strong relationships with shareholders, regulators, partners, and customers. Act as the face of the organization, ensuring a positive reputation in the market.

 

 

Risk, Controls, Corporate Governance and Compliance

 

Ensure compliance with all relevant legal requirements and Allianz Partners global policies and functional rules, by implementing effective risk and compliance controls and reporting mechanisms and building a robust risk and compliance culture across the Sales team. Responsibility for selecting and appointing third party representatives (including Authorized Representatives) and ensuring ongoing supervision, oversight, training and competence of authorized representatives to ensure they comply with competition and consumer laws, privacy and data protection laws and financial services laws (where applicable). Responsibility for implementing and maintaining effectiveness of Allianz Partners Content Management and Monitoring Frameworks, including related policies, systems and processes applicable across all lines of business. Ensure that all sales activity relating to regulated financial products is compliant with Allianz Partners’ obligations Ensure adherence to Indonesian laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards (e.g., OJK regulations for publicly listed companies). Maintain ethical business practices and uphold the company’s code of conduct. Represent the company in regulatory, governmental, and public forums

 

 

What you bring

Minimum 10 years’ experience in Sales Management and leadership role. Demonstrated market experience across the General Insurance, Financial Services, Health Insurance or Assistance sectors. Tertiary Qualifications in Business, Commerce or related field with preference given to Post-Graduate qualifications in a business related discipline Proven success leading complex and highly diverse teams greater than 20 FTE in size.  Experience in collaborating with multiple stakeholders and broad organisational influencing skills in complex organisational structures. Proven success meeting significant sales revenue targets. Demonstrated evidence of the development and implementation of strategy, particularly relating to sales Displays the ability to analyse complex information to identify problems and develop appropriate solutions. Demonstrates ability to think strategically, driving commercial opportunities. Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to relate to a variety of people in a variety of situations. Strong ability to influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business and with external clients. Respects the individual differences of all people in the work environment
