Program Summary
The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.
Job Summary
Performs functions that relate to preservation, packing, and packaging, receipt, accountability, marking, labeling, recording, issuing, and shipping of equipment; includes collateral clerical duties associated. May use automated systems and equipment related to accomplishment of the above tasks. Will include other manual tasks as directed. Performs other tasks as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent. Five years directly related work experience. Complete the Enlisted Warehouseman Basic Course at the MCSSS, or equivalent. Complete the Packaging technology and Administration Courses administered by the School of Military Packaging Technology, or equivalent courses. Working knowledge of all state, federal, and Department of Defense regulations governing the preparation and transportation of differing classes of materials. Working knowledge of various types and uses of preservations which protect metal and material against corrosion and deterioration. Ability to use specialized equipment and processes for applying preservatives. Ability to assemble a variety of mechanical systems and / or equipment. Ability to follow a variety of detailed processing instructions and use judgment in planning work sequences and selecting most appropriate processes. Ability to use motorized materiel handling equipment and other labor-saving devices and machinery common to accomplish packaging operations. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Possess a valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License. Ability to comply with all established methods, safety standards, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position. U.S. Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Base Access.
