Working under general supervision, the Preclinical Technologist I learns and performs the animal procedures of In Vivo Pharmacology studies, according to strict protocols and SOPs. In the wet lab, Technologists also process biological samples (blood and tissues), formulate drugs, manage datasets and can assist with complex molecular biology techniques. Tasks are diverse and vary based on operational demand and the development of new programs. Note that, as often in drug discovery, teams may be required to work early, late or weekend shifts, holidays, and overtime on a few occasions every year.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

Perform pharmacology and neurobiology in vivo procedures, both in-life and post-mortem, as required from specific studies requirements. In-life procedures include animal care, health observations, tests of locomotor and cognitive behaviors. Post-mortem procedures consist in tissue observations, collections and preservation.
