Pre-Registration Coordinator, Georgia Neurological Surgery

Description:The Pre-Registration coordinator is directly responsible to oversee and coordinate the verification, pre-certification and pre-registration for all scheduled outpatient and inpatient services. Ensures these functions are performed in the most efficient and effective manner. Serves as a liaison with the physician offices to also ensure the physicians’ services performed in the hospital are authorized to ensure proper payment to both the hospital and physician. Provides continuous professional and harmonious communications with physicians and physician office staff to promote hospital services. Provides all clinical records and medical necessity available from physician medical records and St. Mary’s internal medical records to the appropriate payer to ensure proper authorization is secured prior to all scheduled services.

CPAR Preferred. High school diploma required; two years of college or prescribed course of study in business or healthcare field preferred. Minimal three years experience with insurance precertification processes in hospital or physician office setting required.
