Overview Provides accurate and complete data input for pre-certification/pre-authorization requests. Provides excellent customer service for the benefit of the patient and Cherokee Nation. Supports the mission, vision, and philosophy of Cherokee Nation Health Services. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and less than one year of specialized training or education. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS At least six months experience in a related field. COMPUTER SKILLS An individual should have knowledge of Internet, Spreadsheet, and Word Processing software. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM) certification preferred but not required. Certification highly encouraged after one year of service OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Possess strong organizational, problem solving, and decision making skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Knowledge of interview techniques and business office billing requirements. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. WORK ENVIRONMENT The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
