Job Summary:
Our client in Auburn Hills, MI is looking for a Powertrain Engine Calibration Engineer - Intermediate This is a contract position.
What You Will Do:
The xHEV Application Calibration Engineer is responsible for HCP calibration development from first Hardware-In-Loop simulators, powertrain dynos and mule vehicles up to production on next generation Stellantis Electrified Powertrain vehicles. The application calibrator will develop HCP calibrations to meet vehicle performance targets, assess vehicle attributes and support all feature development
Basics:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree3+ years of experienceGood communication skills with the ability to work independently and with othersHigh level of analytic ability and creativityAbility to balance work effectively on multiple issuesAction a disciplined test plan and verification process to ensure quality calibrations are released.Exhibit strong leadership presence by engaging management as necessary to ensure project objectives are achieved.Onsite – Anywhere from 3-5 days a week0-10% travelDriving a company vehicle is requiredPreferred:
Knowledge of Calibration tools INCA, MDA, PowerCal, CRETA, CANAlyzer and CANoeExperience with electrified powertrain (BEV or Hybrid) calibration or embedded controlsKnowledge of control system development tools such as Matlab SimulinkExperience in Powertrain Control solutions development (powertrain control algorithms, On-board Diagnostics/OBD, embedded software)DFSS Green Belt Certification with understanding of optimization and design of experimentsHow You Will Be Successful:
