Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Sales organization and customers throughout the sales process by adapting ABB’s products with customer applications to meet their requirements/specifications. Each day, you will select optimized products and technology for adaptation, prepare relevant documentation, and serve as a key technical resource for the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities by proactively prospecting, networking.The work model for the role is hybrid.This role is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries division. You will be mainly accountable for:•Developing and implementing solutions, product packages, and software applications with your team.•Understanding customer needs and requirements, and effectively communicating the ability of ABB’s solutions to address those needs.•Coordinating the product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value and benefits of ABB’s solutions.•Supporting in preparing sales proposals and negotiating contracts to secure new businesses.Our team dynamics You will join a dynamic, talented, high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.
Qualifications for the roleBachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related STEM field and 10+ years of experience: 3-5 years relevant sales experience; alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.Requires knowledge of industrial software solutions for Electrical SCADA, energy/power management control, monitoring, and optimization applications. Requires knowledge of electrical distribution methods, single line diagrams, facility power consumption / generation strategies, and power management systemsRequires knowledge of electrical distribution equipment (MV/LV Switchgear, Motor Control etc..) and its applicable intelligent electronic devices (IEDs).Requires knowledge of general substation automation communication design practices including but not limited to protocols such as IEC61850, networking architectures, device integration and data acquisition methods.Technical ability to derive competitive electrical solutions comprised of ABB and or third-party supplier product portfolios.Preferred technical or application engineering sales experience for related electrical solutions.Preferred knowledge of Utility service interfaces, Cogen, Renewable Power Distribution and or Microgrids applications.Preferred experience with major EPC and End User procurement processes and deliverables. Must be able to interpret customer requests with various level of detail to formulate an ABB solution and path forward.Requires strong communication, leadership, and time management skills.Some travel may be necessary (less than 20%).Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
