Introduction: Howden are looking for a skilled Power BI Lead to help us drive insights and business outcomes. The role will sit within the Group Data team, where the candidate will mainly be using Power BI, but also supporting tools such as SSMS and Databricks. The candidate would also require an understanding of the insurance industry and good communication skills when liaising with the business teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and present high-impact reports and visualizations to senior management, providing insights that align with key business strategies.Lead the design and maintenance of data models to ensure the delivery of effective datasets to the business.Understand what the business are currently doing with data, and help build solutions around their requirements.Serve as a technical lead and expert on data tools and methodologies, continuously seeking to improve team capabilities and efficiency.Collaborate with business stakeholders to help define clear requirements for data analysis and reporting, aligned with business outcomes.Lead the maintenance of the Power BI tenant, with regular auditsRequirementsProven experience in data analysis, data modelling, and business intelligence.Expertise in Power BI, SQL Server, SSMS, and modern cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Databricks.Confidence in ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and engage effectively with all levels of stakeholders.Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment, with multiple projects and competing priorities.
