Basic Function: Promote and market the arts program to all resort guests to increase revenues. Create and implement new ideas for classes or improvements for existing programs. Primary function is to challenge and educate guests in the class they have scheduled or are interested in.
Work Performed:
Arrive to work a half hour before program begins wearing nametag and proper uniformPrepare receipts and be set up for activities prior to guests arrivalSharing knowledge of the medium working in with guests and offer advice for them to improve their own artwork (For Pottery Throwing, must be able to demonstrate and assist guests with centering clay, wedging, pulling walls, etc.)Create, organize and teach activities, arts and crafts for best guest experienceEncourage guests to look at the other art classes and sign up for additional classesOrder wine as necessary from room serviceClean all areas of the cottage to ensure neat and clean for next day. Wheels and tools to be clay free when done, floor swept and mopped.Daily/Weekly monitor inventories of all crafts and department forms, let lead and / or manager know when items are lowAssist in creating, organizing, and staffing seasonal schedule and resort holiday eventsLet lead or manager know of any work orders that need to be createdCheck phone when lead and manager are away, answering professionallyAttend Forbes trainingsIn warm weather, for outdoor classes, be aware of signs of heat related illnesses Other duties as assignedSupervision Exercised: None

Minimum Requirements:
Prefer a BA, but not required. Educational background preferred. Teaching or supervisory skills and posses the desire to teach guests to create art and expand their creativity on a daily basis. Need to be flexible and able to work on an on call basis. Must have strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with ease. Basic computer skills required. Strong team member relations skills is a must. Must pass thorough background screening prior to commencing work.

Ability to work in all types of weather conditions (mostly indoors)
