Through this community of healers, scientists, and scholars, Rutgers is equipped as never before to transform lives. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for the department of Pediatrics at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under the direction of the Director of PopQuIS, Program faculty, and designated mentors, the Post Doc Fellow conducts specialized research, literature review and integrates a primary care framework to improve population and public health in the United States. Conduct a mentored research project, complete focused educational activities, and participate as a research team member to support current research, occurring in priority areas such as: (1) Maternal Morbidity and Child Health, (2) Quality of Health and Healthcare, (3) Mental Health Access and Care, (4) Health Equity and (5) COVID-19. Job Requirements: As this position may be funded through the T32, special requirements include that the candidate must be a US citizen or permanent resident under T32 Training Program guidelines.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: Work with PI and others as assigned to develop a career development plan with training /educational goals for fellowship period. Develop, propose, and obtain approval for a mentored research project to be completed during fellowship. Conduct, complete, and disseminate a mentored career development research project that contributes to the primary care research enterprise at Rutgers and in the United States. Participate in focused educational and leadership development activities to prepare for a career as a leader in the Primary Care Research enterprise in the US. As appropriate for career development and consistent with qualifications, participate in clinical activities as assigned. Participate in the research, administration, and dissemination activities various relevant projects to develop a breadth of experience and skills in team research of primary care research or methods relevant for the program and fellow. Under guidance of PI and/or mentor, assume leadership of specific scholarly and other activities as assigned or approved, including authorship of specified projects as appropriate for career development. Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or cancellation and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System.
