Position Overview: We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scholar to join a large interdisciplinary research project funded by USDA-NIFA, focusing on land use modeling and valuation of ecosystem services. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Weizhe Weng in the Food and Resource Economics Department at the University of Florida, in collaboration with researchers from USDA-ARS, the University of Georgia, Auburn University, Clemson University, and other academic, NGO, and industry partners. Job Duties: + Analyzegeospatial dataand develop anintegrated assessment modelto evaluate economic and environmental impacts of cover crops adoption in the Southeastern U.S. + Coauthorhigh-impact academic publicationswith the research team. + Mentorundergraduate and graduate studentsinvolved in the project. + Assist withproject reportingand contribute to the design of adecision-support tool. Expected Salary: Commensurate with education and experience Minimum Requirements: + Ph.D. (foreign equivalent acceptable) inAgricultural and Applied Economics, Environmental Economics, or a related discipline. + Strong background indata analysis, particularly in handling geospatial data.
