Job Summary
The Department of Physics at Drexel University invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position in theoretical condensed matter physics, with a projected start state in the fall of 2025. The successful candidate will work in the Quantum Condensed Matter Theory group of Prof. Jörn Venderbos, focused on research areas which include—but are not limited to—topological quantum materials, 2D materials and heterostructures, strongly correlated electron systems, complex electronic ordering phenomena, and unconventional superconductors. A close collaboration with experimental research groups both in the Physics Department and the Department of Materials Science & Engineering is anticipated.
Essential Functions
Conduct independent research. Write and publish manuscripts in top-tier pier-reviewed journals. Present at conferences and workshops. Interact with collaborating groups, in particular experimental groups Other related duties as assignedRequired Qualifications

This position is classified as Exempt with a grade of I, [$41,120 - $ 61,680 ]. The offered salary is dependent upon internal equity and the successful candidate’s competencies, education, and experience.
