The successful candidate for this position will work with the Medical Image Phenotyping Lab (MIP) and will report to Dr. Antonio R. Porras, PhD. The selected candidate will benefit from and contribute to multiple existing collaborations between BIOS, MIP and the top-ranked hospitals in the Anschutz Medical Campus: Children's Hospital Colorado and University of Colorado Hospital. Specifically, the selected candidate will work on projects funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) that aim to develop image computing and machine learning methods, together with translational tools, to understand and identify both normal and pathological pediatric development to improve patient care.The new postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for the design and development of novel medical image computing and machine/deep learning methods. Their scope may include image segmentation, image registration, disease screening and diagnosis, discovery of new image-based biomarkers, quantitative image-based phenotyping, anatomical modeling and/or predictive analysis. In addition, the selected candidate will collaborate with other faculty, students and physicians in the clinical translation of the developed methods.
