Visit NCCU .edu . **Primary Function of Organizational Unit** Increase the awareness and appeal of material science careers by highlighting the central role of the discipline in the 21st century. **Primary Purpose of Position** To recruit and train students well equipped to address future challenges in this emerging field and to help students acquire the STEM-specific oral and written communications skills, professional ethics, and networking skills required for success in doctoral programs or industrial employment. **Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** Must have required knowledge, skills, and/or abilities in the following areas of research: research on 2D materials for chemical sensing, catalysis, and photonic applications. The applicant must be a strong team player with excellent presentation and writing skills. Prior experience is highly desirable. **Minimum Education/Experience** Ph.
