We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Associate to join our Investment Management division, we deliver active investment strategies across public and private markets and custom solutions to institutional and individual investors.

Provide business and operational support for fixed income investment and trading personnel. Primary responsibility will be to maintain high service levels while improving and strengthening operational infrastructure.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships, driving strategic automation solutions by embracing a transformation mindset and challenging the status quo.

What you’ll do in the role:

Provide functional support to MSIM portfolio managers, traders, and portfolio administrators through Trade Management System (Aladdin).Responsible for monitoring trade flows from Aladdin to Middle Offices and Custodians.Responsible for Trade Affirmation and Trade Settlement by using DTCC CTM, Alert, Trade SuiteWork with brokers and custodian banks to resolve unconfirmed trades, trade settlement and reconciliation items.Provide required operational support to portfolio managers, traders, and portfolio administratorsIdentify and resolve issues related to transactions in a timely fashion following established guidelines, procedures, and controlsProvide functional support around corporate action workflows including data consumption, maintain processing standards and management of overall corporate action functionResponsible for cash and position reconciliation in Aladdin for all designated portfoliosRetrieve and review cash balances from custodians, escalate cash overdrafts and initiate interest claim against brokers, middle office service providers and custodians on behalf of MSIM and MSIM ClientsSupport all components of Aladdin transaction processing, position, cash and corporate actions for assigned Investment teams and trading teamsFacilitate accurate and timely delivery of critical business inquires to and from internal clients, internal business colleagues, operational colleagues, and external counterparties.

Bachelor's degree or comparable work experienceFour to Seven years of operations and/or related experienceSpecific knowledge of corporate action is a PLUSKnowledge of equity and fixed income securities a MUSTKnowledge of BRS Aladdin a PLUSKnowledge of DTCC CTM and Alert a plusStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsStrong problem-solving, collaborative and  innovative solution-focused thinking skillsKnowledge of custodian bank operating standards and interoperability with asset management
