Portfolio Program Senior Manager

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead the Print Software Portfolio Management Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating cross-division software roadmaps, optimizing software investments, and managing the delivery, metrics, and insights for a portfolio of technology projects. This role involves cross-functional collaboration, performance tracking, and driving alignment between business objectives and technology initiatives. Strong leadership, financial acumen, and portfolio management expertise are essential for success.

Responsibilities:

Portfolio Roadmap: Lead and manage the software portfolio management team to develop and maintain a comprehensive portfolio roadmap that aligns with organizational goals and objectives. Ensure the roadmap is communicated effectively to all stakeholders.

Metrics, Capacity, and Allocation: Monitor and manage portfolio metrics, capacity, and resource allocation to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Identify and address any bottlenecks or resource constraints.

Data Insights: Utilize data insights to drive performance improvements and enhance operational efficiency. Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize portfolio management processes.

SDLC Process Transformation: Oversee the transformation of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) portfolio processes. Ensure that best practices are followed and that the processes are continuously improved to meet evolving business needs.

Cross-Division Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop the Print SW Roadmap across all divisions

Performance Tracking: Develop and implement strategies for effective software portfolio management, including creating executive summaries, and assessing performance against predictability metrics.

Continuous Improvement: Create and develop critical processes for the Print SW organization, such as program trade-offs, year-long roadmap planning, and capacity management. Drive continuous improvement in software portfolio management processes.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in portfolio management, program management, or a related field.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data insights to drive decision-making.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of SDLC processes and best practices.

Advanced leadership skills, including coaching, team building, conflict resolution, and management.

Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring.

Experienced in managing teams across geographies to drive workforce development and achieve desired results.

Education & Experience Recommended:

Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

Typically has 10+ years of job-related experience or 8-10 years of management experience, preferably in engineering development and implementation, project planning tools and software packages, people management, or a related field.
