Role Purpose/Business Unit:

One of the key acceleration units is Vodacom Financial Digital Services and the range of products that fall under Vodacom Financial and Digital Services i.e. VodaPay App, Consumer and SME Lending products, Payment Solutions (POS), Insurance – both Consumer and SME Solutions, Digital Lifestyle Services providing the best segmented propositions and the best customer experience within our digital ecosystem. Central to our aspirations will be the ability to offer an unmatched, operationally efficient and commercially viable Vodacom experience across all digital touch points.  To support this vision Vodacom Financial Services is striving to be a best-in-class digital marketing company. The role is accountable for growing and driving customer engagement across all relevant digital platforms on Google and Social Media, including customer adoption of digital sales and self-service channels. The role will provide clear direction for digital media across the whole Vodacom Financial Services business, working in close coordination with the Brand, Product Marketing, Finance and Social Media teams within Digital Lifestyle Services as well as Vodacom Financial Services teams. Outputs include driving campaign strategies and plans to deliver on overall brand and commercial goals within the various business units. The function plays a primary role in driving the optimisation of the overall behavioural measurement score (BMS) for brand consideration and digital channel experience (TNPS), as well as revenue generated through digital channels and associated cost savings. The role will be transformational and lead the acceleration required for Digital Marketing to becoming a leading competence within Vodacom Financial Services.
 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

Digital media strategy and implementation across the Consumer, SME Fintech portfolios Planning, Implementation and performance across all digital media types including premium display, mobile display, programmatic, advertising networks, paid search and paid socialOverseeing Digital Platforms like Google Adwords, DV360, TikTok, X, Meta, Adobe, Adjust, Tealium, as well as Financial Management Drive breakthrough marketing innovation Provide inspirational leadership and coaching across the Vodacom Financial and Digital Services organisation, as well as external partners to enable delivery of all media brand and commercial outcomesThe Ideal Candidate for this role will have:

 

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 

3-year Business related Degree or National Diploma essential

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience: 

Minimum of 8 to 10 yrs relevant experience essential in:Digital and ATL media and channelsDriving commercial & operational targets for the media domain – sales, revenue, profitability, adoption of the products and servicesCreating strategic plans to win market share from competitors Experience in managing media for large consumer facing brandsCapable of working in a complex organisation and able to build strong relationships and credibility with multiple levels both internally and externallyExperience in running agile teamsMinimum of 3yrs Leadership/Management/Supervisory experience (essential)
