40 hours per weekMonday to Friday (may require weekends if needed)£36,000 to £40,000 per yearWe are looking for a experience Portering & Logistics Manager to oversee the efficient operation of portering services at Royal Stoke University Hospital. You will manage waste, postal, receipt, and distribution services across the site, ensuring seamless integration with other support and Trust departments.
In this role, you will make key strategic decisions and ensure the delivery of a professional, high-quality service that enhances both patient and staff experiences.
What you'll do:
Monitor and improve Portering Service performance, standards, and KPIs, ensuring alignment with client and contractual requirements.Implement and manage a quality assurance system to maintain service excellence.Maintain effective communication with the CPM team, Sodexo SMT, clinical teams, and stakeholders.Monitor KPIs daily, ensuring timely reporting and continuous service improvements.Ensure staffing levels and skill mix meet service demands, with coverage for absences.Recruit, train, develop, and motivate staff to maintain high service quality.Address performance issues, identify service weaknesses, and implement proactive solutions.Manage compliance, training documentation, and ensure patient privacy, resolving complaints promptly.What you'll bring:

Proven track record of managing a large team and delivering a Soft FM serviceAwareness of appropriate legislation including (but not limited to) employment, hygiene, health and safetyExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate at all levels The ability to implement and drive changes to working practices as requiredDesirable
