Working Hours/Days Monday - Friday. 6:30am-3:00pm Overview “Porter” position includes a greater scope of duties including such things as running parts and tools to/from job sites. Moving trucks, trailers and any equipment needed in the yard. This is a good, entry-level position forteam membersto “learn” their way up. The Porter must establish an understanding of the following objectives and accountabilities: Basic Duties PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to): + Deliver needed parts and/or tooling to field service technicians. + 100% of management requests, special assignment or projects to be completed with in the specified time. + Yard to be cleaned and organized at all times. Other responsibilities: Administrative: + Interacts with service personnel throughout the day to support changing demand for parts and tooling. + Signing in/out all tools to be delivered. + Assists with basic shop duties when needed. + Keeping records and stickers up to date on trailers. Technical: + Has good working knowledge of all equipment. Qualifications Position Profile: Needs to demonstrate high levels of "customer service" to everyone in the company. Daily activities can be varied and sometimes working under pressure with multiple tasks to be done. Summary: This position calls for hard work and putting a “friendly face” toward the customer. The Porter’s daily activities will vary and many times will be working under pressure to meet customer and operational demands. Must have a clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate). Physical Requirements/Working Conditions This position will work in the shop environment and an outside yard environment and may work in and exposed to elements of weather. May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 75lbs. The wearing of approved safety equipment (i.e. steel toe footwear, high visibility clothing, safety eyewear & gloves, etc.) is required. Noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to high. Must be flexible during peak season working overtime as needed. Frequent local travel will be required to transport equipment or parts.
