Maintains the facility in a clean and sanitary condition. Essential Accountabilities: + Maintains a clean, sanitary environment. Sweeps and mops floors, vacuum rugs, cleans windows, dusts and polishes furniture and cleans bathrooms as indicated in the facility maintenance to do list. + Maintains landscaping and lawns by utilizing lawn mower, hedge trimmer and other various garden equipment. Responsible for raking leaves and ensuring lawns are properly watered and maintained. + Notify management of occurring deficiencies. + Stock and maintain supply rooms. + Follow all health and safety regulations. + Gather and empty trash. + Keeps sidewalks, yard, and stairs and around the site, driveways and steps clean from debris. + Duties may require shoveling snow, as well as salt and sand areas. + Keeps bathrooms stocked with paper towels, toilet tissue and soap. + May be required to drive to various locations if necessary. + Work schedules and location are subject to change. + Other duties as requested. + Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English. + Attend certificate and non-certificate classes given on an annual basis. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency diploma or experience in general maintenance work. A valid NYS Driver’s License is required.
